MATLAB for Beginners

This Etherpad is for sharing code snippets during the workshop.  These can be copied and pasted directly into MATLAB.  Feel free to contribute as well—it all syncs to everyone else's computer.

The course website is located at http://uiuc-cse.github.io/matlab-fa13.  Exercises and notes from class will be posted there, as well as links to other resources.

Please do the following:
 * Fill out the pre-course assessment.  (This questionnaire is anonymous and helps us know how to better tune the course to your needs.)
 * Open MATLAB on your local machine.
