Hello Folks,

Proposed Agenda:

Geographic Organizing Groups
AFT MI is working with its members to form member based organizing groups in a number of
Michigan communities. The purpose is to bring together rank and file members where they live
to become more informed, engaged and active in local issues. We strive to be a bigger part of
the community through action and service. We aim to grow our group by inviting like minded
union members and community activists.

To build power, we must organize in our communities. Join us!

Direct Action

Instant short sign rally at gatherings - Videotape and upload to social media and name it (think of a #HashTag) #CallingAllMembers #MI28

Make a call for #MI28 - self-organize and organize collectively - #RightToWork #IsWrong

Show example of why naming is important - #M27 - it allows you to have one space to talk / do work / that is transparent a flexible.
