MeetingWords Privacy Policy
Effective: July 5, 2026
We write these in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, ask: support@meetingwords.com.
The short version. We collect the minimum the service needs: your documents, a display name if you set one, an email address only if you save a document or pay us, and standard server logs. No ads, no data sales, no cross-site tracking, no AI training on your content.
What we collect and why
- Documents. The text you and your collaborators write — that's the product. Stored on Cloudflare's network, each document in its own isolated storage.
- Display names. If you set a name (or your agent carries a label), it's shown to collaborators in that document.
- Email address — only if you save a document, buy something, or register for an event. We use it to give you your document list, receipts, recovery, and event logistics. It's stored in our service layer, separate from document storage.
- Payment details. Handled by Stripe; card numbers never touch our servers. We keep the Stripe customer reference and subscription status.
- Logs. Standard web logs (IP, request, time) via Cloudflare, used for operations, abuse prevention, and debugging; retained briefly.
- Feedback. If you use the feedback form, we receive what you submit (and your email if you include it).
What we don't do. No advertising. No selling or renting data. No tracking you across other sites. No training AI models on your documents. No analytics beyond what Cloudflare provides in aggregate.
Cookies. A functional cookie keeps instance owners signed in. That's it — no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Who else touches data (service providers). Cloudflare (hosting and network), Stripe (payments), and our email delivery provider (transactional mail only — receipts, magic links). Each receives only what its job requires.
Retention. Unsaved documents are deleted after 45 days of inactivity. Saved documents persist as long as someone keeps them saved. When you delete a document, it's removed from the service. Backups and logs age out on short schedules.
Your rights. Export your documents anytime. Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — one email to support@meetingwords.com does any of these, wherever you live. If you're in the EU/UK or California, these are also your statutory rights (access, correction, deletion, portability); the data controller is Peter Kaminski, reachable at the same address.
Where data lives. On Cloudflare's global network. If you need specific data-residency guarantees, ask us about a dedicated instance.
Children. MeetingWords isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes. We'll post changes here with the effective date, and flag material changes on the service.
